    When Life Gives You Sausages

On Monday, November 11, on a thrilling episode of Wheel of Fortune, contestant Will decided to forgo common sense and take a leap into culinary creativity—much to the delight of viewers everywhere. “I just went blank,” he admitted after delivering a line that will be etched into game show lore.

Will, in a moment of pure inspiration—or perhaps confusion—decided that the puzzle “Give yourself a round of applause” sounded much better as “Treat yourself a round of sausage.” Clearly, the wheels were turning, but the gears were rusted.

To the shock of the studio audience, fellow contestant Kitina jumped in like a hero to save the day with the actual answer. Afterward, host Ryan Seacrest casually remarked, “Will, I kind of like yours better,” hinting we might soon see a culinary-themed spin-off show featuring sausage-based puzzles.

Following the incident, show social correspondent Maggie Sajak—a name you won’t find on your bingo card—interviewed Will, asking, “Alright Will, we had a little missolve in the first game… that’s okay, could you walk me through how you’re feeling?” Spoiler alert: he felt like a deer caught in the headlights, only instead of headlights, it was the bright lights of fame.

Will candidly revealed, “When the lights are on, and you know, Ryan Seacrest, Vanna White… I just went blank.” Adding a sprinkle of humor, he concluded, “But if my dad, in retirement, is watching this, cracking a beer and laughing, then it was worth it.” Because nothing says quality family bonding like watching your son make a fool of himself on national television.

Maggie assured him that Pat Sajak, the show’s former host and known for his soothing presence, would be tuning in to witness this groundbreaking culinary take on solving puzzles. “I will make sure that we tune in that night, okay? That’s a promise,” she declared, adding that Will was already reaping rewards for his new status, receiving a cue card signed by Ryan Seacrest—because that’s what you want hanging on your wall.

In a world where game shows have a looser format and teach us valuable life lessons punctuated by the occasional sausage reference, Will’s epic fail reminds us that the line between comedy and tragedy is often just a matter of vowels. And let’s not forget: never underestimate the power of a well-timed missolve on live television. #misssolve #WheelOfFortune
