Mom removes clothing during school board meeting to express opposition to transgender locker room policy

In an absolutely riveting twist at a school board meeting, firebrand mom Beth Bourne decided to strip down, apparently thinking that nudity would be the most effective way to discuss transgender changing room policies. Yes, you heard it right—who needs logical discourse when you can simply unveil your bathing suit in a room full of stunned officials?

Captured on camera for our viewing pleasure, the 50-year-old chair of Moms for Liberty in Yolo County turned the otherwise mundane meeting into a veritable circus. The Davis Joint Unified School Board in California was mere moments away from an ordinary, dull meeting when Bourne entered the spotlight, or, better yet, the spotlight entered her wardrobe.

After taking the stage to address her concerns about students’ locker room experiences—because what better way to approach sensitive issues than by showcasing a two-piece?—Bourne called attention to the emotional turbulence students feel when sharing space based on gender identity. After all, her choice of appropriate attire said it all; who wouldn’t want to change in front of someone in a bathing suit?

As she began her thought-provoking monologue, she peeled off her shirt to reveal a bikini, prompting cries of disbelief from the board members. One of them managed to exclaim, “No, you cannot…” to which Bourne valiantly countered, “I have my bathing suit on.” Well, if that’s not a valid argument for changing room policies, I don’t know what is!

The board tried to maintain decorum—but Bourne wasn’t having any of it. After her microphone was unceremoniously cut off, she declared, “You are violating my First Amendment right,” as if stretching the First Amendment to include wardrobe malfunctions is standard practice.

In a classic move, the meeting was called into recess after the board couldn’t take the “heat.” All of this while Bourne insisted that all she wanted to do was make her point in a rather, shall we say, revealing manner. The police, meanwhile, were alerted, apparently not quite sure when a school board meeting morphed into a Hooters audition.

The president of the board had quite a diplomatic response, stating that public presentations must comply with certain decorum—something Bourne’s outfit obviously didn’t cover. In the end, she was escorted out of the building for “disturbing the peace.” Yet, this fearless mom remains undeterred, claiming her First Amendment rights were trampled, and guess what? She’s seeking legal counsel because, apparently, feeling uncomfortable while changing is now a constitutional crisis.

In her own words, “If adults don’t feel comfortable watching someone – and I’m a 50-year-old woman – how can they expect girls to feel comfortable doing that in the locker room?” Smart thinking, though perhaps the presentation style could use some refinement. But hey, at least she sparked a lively debate! Maybe next time she’ll stick to verbal arguments instead of turning the podium into a fashion show.
