The holiday season has arrived, bringing with it an enchanting array of holiday light displays and family-friendly events across Minnesota. If you’re looking for festive activities to enjoy with your loved ones, look no further!

    Discover Minnesota’s Holiday Light Events

From vibrant light shows to local traditions, Minnesota is home to numerous holiday events that capture the festive spirit. Whether you’re planning a family outing or searching for the perfect gift, these events offer something for everyone.

    Exclusive Discounts and Memberships

Don’t miss out on exclusive deals! A fantastic gift idea for families is a membership to the Minnesota Children’s Museum. Use the code TCFM to enjoy a special holiday discount — receive $30 off a gift membership or $3 off gift tickets. Memberships offer unlimited access to the museum and special member perks, making it a great year-round gift.

    Free Holiday Printables

To make your holiday outings even more enjoyable, I’ve created several FREE Christmas printables. Engage your kids with a Christmas Lights Scavenger Hunt and a Road Trip Activity Set to keep them entertained while you explore local light displays. These printables can add an extra layer of fun to your family outings!

    Featured Light Displays

Bentleyville Tour of Lights – Duluth

Running from November 22 to December 27, 2025, Bentleyville is America’s largest free walk-through lighting display. It’s a beloved family tradition, featuring complimentary cookies and hot cocoa. While admission is free, there is a parking fee of $10 on weeknights and $15 on weekends.

    Celebrate the Light – Willmar

Another enchanting event is the Celebrate the Light of the World in Willmar, active from Thanksgiving to December 31. This light display operates nightly from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM andis free with requested donations to cover event costs.

    Community Spirit Shines Bright

Many residential light displays also offer beautiful sights. The Holiday Lights on York Avenue in St. Paul will light up from November 28 to December 31, featuring a stunning synchronization of over 90,000 lights with music, all while supporting local charities. Donations are welcomed for Merrick Food Shelf.

    Celebrate With Your Community

The overarching theme this holiday season is community joy. Whether you visit large-scale light displays or tour local neighborhoods decked out in holiday splendor, you’re sure to find that the spirit of the season brings people together. Remember to check for potential changes or cancellations to events before heading out!

What holiday light displays are you most excited to visit this year? Join in the festive spirit and celebrate the magical season with your loved ones by exploring all that Minnesota has to offer!
