Tiffany Haddish Opens Up About Unusual Pre-Comedy Endeavor with Halle Berry

Tiffany Haddish has recently made waves with a revelation that’s as surprising as finding an avocado in a fruit salad—her pre-comedy gig was linked to none other than Halle Berry.

From her amusing role in “Girls Trip” to being the poster child for “You can do it!” Haddish’s journey is filled with quirky tales that make you wonder if she has a ghostwriter with a flair for the bizarre.

Her recent tale is, in fact, so odd it could be a subplot in a dark comedy: selling Halle Berry’s dirty laundry for a quick buck. That’s right, if you thought your side hustle was creative, just wait until you hear this.

    Tiffany Haddish: The Craigslist Connoisseur

The 44-year-old has transitioned from odd jobs like those that would make your uncle cringe to Hollywood royalty. But back in the day, she had a pretty unconventional gig. Picture this: Haddish claiming to be Halle Berry’s housekeeper while offering up her “items of interest” (no, not fine china) to the highest bidder on Craigslist. “I made $300 a pop,” she nonchalantly shared like most people would recount a mundane grocery trip.

This was during an episode on Nick Cannon’s We Playin’ Spades podcast, where she glossed over whether Berry caught wind of this not-so-reputable hustle. A true connoisseur of the absurd, Haddish flaunts experiences that can’t help but keep us endlessly entertained.

The Documentary That Hits Close to Home

After wrapping up her colorful Craigslist career, Tiffany took on various creative endeavors, including a documentary about women forming relationships with homeless men. Apparently, there’s a stigma around that sort of thing (who knew?).

Haddish, who once faced homelessness herself, turned to this project to shed light on the issue. “Everyone deserves love,” she preached, likely while envisioning a world where couples bond over shared loaves of bread rather than socioeconomic status. “It’s hard to be homeless,” she noted, and if anyone knows about hardship, it’s the comedic queen herself.

Wedding Crashers: The Hungry Comedian Edition

In an even more theatrical turn, Haddish confessed to crashing weddings for food. Yes, you heard that right. “I’ve crashed weddings before, given a speech, and didn’t know anybody there,” she recalled while casually sipping her wedding punch. “It was during my hungry days,” she laughed. Because who doesn’t want to hear a stranger’s heartfelt toast about love while diving into a buffet?

Haddish’s knack for blending in while simultaneously lifting spirits (and crudités) is a miracle on its own. “I’d grab the mic and say something like, ‘You’re the most beautiful couple!’” She probably left guests questioning not just who she was, but why their buffet just took a hit.

    Criticism Is the New Black

Fast forward to a recent trip to Zimbabwe, where Haddish’s misstep with a TikTok video showcased her culinary exploration of a grocery store. Cue the backlash! Critics hit the social media platform faster than she can say “Oops, I did it again.”

They clashed with their own hot takes, labelling her portrayal as “ignorant” while calling her a “f—king idiot.” Ouch! That stings more than a misplaced cheese puff in a bag of Doritos.

Haddish, never one to back down, took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify her video’s purpose, stating it was intended to challenge misconceptions about Africa. “The media be lying!” she wrote, and let’s face it—she’s not entirely wrong there.

As she encourages visitors to check out Africa for themselves, one can’t help but wonder: Maybe Tiffany should stick to wedding crashing and documentary-making—some careers are just meant to be saved from the buffet line.
