Why Mariah? Why Not an Actual Plan?
Cane has a shopping list of targets, including the likes of Adam Newman and Abby Winters. But oddly enough, on this covert mission, he seems to have a particular interest in Mariah Copeland. Perhaps he’s just a huge fan of her work! Like, what is he hoping to discover? Does he want to ask her about her favorite shade of lipstick, or maybe he’s looking to get tips on how to navigate a life crisis? It’s mind-boggling, really.

Given his tedious ambition to overthrow the Kingpins of Genoa City, you’d think Mariah might have slipped his radar. She’s more like a pawn in a game of chess he forgot he was playing, and yet he’s poised to uncover her every secret. Is he thinking of launching a startup company on her experiences? That could be the plot twist we didn’t see coming!

As Holden enacts his plan to get close to Mariah, we must consider the idea that maybe, just maybe, Cane has developed a peculiar obsession. But in the memorable words of reality TV stars everywhere: “Is it romance or is it just ruin?” Mariah is currently wading through her own chaotic waters; if Cane attempts any romantic pursuits, he better bring his floaties.
