Nithiin and Sreeleela Facing Potential Failure with 89.8% of Budget Yet to be Recovered

Robinhood Box Office Day 3: Nithiin & Sreeleela Heading Towards A Disaster (Photo Credit – Instagram)

In the thrilling world of filmmaking, where box office success is as certain as a cat’s indifference to its owner’s affection, Nithiin and Sreeleela’s latest endeavor, Robinhood, is not exactly rewriting history. In three days, the film has made a grand total of 7.10 crore, which, let’s be honest, is less than what a minor character in a Bollywood epic might find stuck in their couch cushions.

Nithiin’s Last Release: A Case Study in Anticipated Fiascos

For context, Nithiin’s last cinematic venture, Extra Ordinary Man, managed to make a staggering 9.7 crore during its lifetime. A resounding disaster, yes, but hey, it did have a number! Spoiler alert: this new adventure still hasn’t hit that mark yet, keeping us all at the edge of our seats, wondering if we can collectively summon the power of prayer for this latest offering.

Box Office Breakdown: The Climb Toward Oblivion

On the third day, March 30th, Robinhood managed to snag 2.75 crore. This is a whopping 34% increase from the previous day! One might assume the Eid holiday, which usually promotes resurrection in the box office world, is hoping to pull a miracle. And why not? They must surely be channeling some divine intervention.

Let’s break down those numbers, shall we? The film’s three-day box office disaster plan looks something like this:

    Day 1: 2.3 crore
    Day 2: 2.05 crore
    Day 3: 2.75 crore
    Total: 7.10 crore

    Robinhood: Budgeting for Failure

Now here’s the kicker: this cinematic endeavor was reportedly funded with a budget of 70 crore. That means it needs a Herculean 62.9 crore just to say, “Guess what? We didn’t completely sink!” In other words, forget about enjoying the fruit of their labor—the film needs to recover 89.8% of its budget to avoid the dreaded label of “complete and utter flop.”

Sreeleela’s Previous Glory: The Bar is Set High

Meanwhile, Sreeleela’s last outing in the grand circus known as Bollywood was in Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram, which launched with an impressive 42 crore at the box office. For Robinhood to surpass that number? That would take a miracle of Biblical proportions—or at least a really good story twist.

Robinhood: The Clash of the Titans (or Not)

Let’s not forget the David vs. Goliath aspect of screen clashes. Robinhood is facing off against Narne Nithin’s Mad Square, which dazzled audiences with earnings 248% higher than our beleaguered protagonist. If only Robinhood could pull a hedge fund level of success right now, but alas, hopes seem dim.

Note: Box office stats are gathered from various crystal-gazing sources and have not been independently verified. Naturally, Koimoi is not responsible for the potentially catastrophic reliance on these numbers.

Stay tuned to Koimoi for more updates, and if you happen to have any spare change from your last trip to the movies, consider contributing to the box office rescues of films like Robinhood. Every little bit helps! After all, together we can prevent financial train wrecks in cinematic history.
