Model Employees: A Tale of Misguided Aspirations

    Sat, Oct 2, 2021

Once upon a time in the land of runway lights and questionable taste, our three heroes—Lex, Presley, and Munchy—decided to strut their stuff during the town’s illustrious fashion week. The trio, buoyed by dreams of fame and a steady stream of free hors d’oeuvres, assumed their modeling dreams were about to come true. Cue the dramatic music.

However, in a plot twist worthy of a cheap soap opera, they quickly discovered that their modeling gig didn’t include strutting down a catwalk in haute couture. No, dear readers, they were destined to be toy model builders. Yes, you heard that right. Not runway royalty, but miniature craftsmen—the metaphorical “Cinderellas” of the modeling world, only with fewer pumpkins and more plastic glue.

Naturally, disappointment flooded their tiny hearts like the tears of fashion designers everywhere. The idea of spending an entire week assembling tiny replicas of buildings instead of swanning about in designer outfits was, frankly, a bit of a fashion faux pas. But alas, dreams don’t always come with a return policy.

As they sat among the scattered bits of plastic and perplexing instruction manuals, it dawned on them: This was not how they pictured their glamorous lives. The more they glued and painted, the more they felt like they were in an elaborate scheme to ruin their self-esteem—possibly orchestrated by the universe’s sense of humor.

But the resilient kids weren’t about to let a little chaos derail their fashion aspirations. With scissors in one hand and a dream in the other, they concocted a plan so ridiculous it just might work: to sneak into the real fashion show. After all, how hard could it be to slip past a handful of distracted fashionistas, especially when you look like a trio of lost dolls?

Armed with a mix of determination and sheer absurdity, Lex, Presley, and Munchy set out to transform the drudgery of toy assembly into a frenzied chase for modeling glory. Will they manage to trade their glue sticks for designer heels? Only time will tell. Yet, in a world of plastic and perplexity, one thing is clear: modeling isn’t always what it seems, and sometimes you just have to model your own fate.

For those seeking their own dreams of fashion splendor—or perhaps just cheap thrills—tune in next time. Who knows? You might just find a few hacks for navigating your way through a world that spells G-L-A-M-O-R.
