In a rather unexpected twist of fate, Lindsey Vonn’s sister, Karin Kildow, dodged a compound fracture at the Winter Olympics, unlike her sibling. However, she did manage to score some unexpected perks during a hospital stay that could rival any dating app success story.
“Forget swiping right on those dating apps—just head to an Italian emergency room,” Kildow quipped, and honestly, who wouldn’t want to be surrounded by hot medical personnel in scrubs?
In a video set to “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love),” Kildow showcased the parade of attractive doctors and nurses at the Treviso, Italy, medical facility where her sister was being treated. Move over, Tinder, there’s a new app on the block: “Italian ER Cuteness.”
Kildow remarked, “I claimed there would be a silver lining… 😂” Of course, we all know that bright side comes with a hefty dose of irony. She added a heartfelt shout-out to the kind souls who tended to Lindsey, proving that even amidst humor, gratitude reigns supreme.

While Kildow was busy enjoying eye candy, Vonn was dealing with the aftermath of her harrowing Feb. 8 crash in Milan Cortina, where her Olympic comeback went from “let’s ski” to “please call for backup.” She faced a complex tibia fracture and the unfortunate delight of four surgeries—a delightful new hobby to add to her résumé.
But in true champion style, the 2010 gold medalist reassured her fans, saying, “So please, don’t feel sad.” Because nothing screams “I’m fine” like a broken tibia and a series of medical procedures. Her optimism? Remarkable. Her ability to maintain a sense of humor? Impeccable!
“I have no regrets,” Vonn declared. “The love I have for skiing remains.” Well, that’s a nice way of saying, “I’m still ready to conquer the slopes, preferably without requiring a rescue team.” Talk about making the most of a situation!
Kildow also articulated that hospital rooms in Italy might just be the new singles scene we never knew we needed. “Ciao, bellas!” could soon become the standard hospital greeting. Meanwhile, Vonn expressed her relief at being back home, stating, “Haven’t stood on my feet in over a week…” Because who wouldn’t want to return home after an unplanned vacation in the land of pasta and pretty doctors?
