The founder of Naturally Yours, Vinod Chendhil, recently shared an intriguing story about a fellow entrepreneur who has achieved remarkable success yet chooses to live a remarkably simple lifestyle, despite having a net worth of ₹100 crore. He revealed that his friend, a successful business founder, still travels by autorickshaw and opts for modest accommodations.

Chendhil explained that while his friend’s lifestyle remained largely unchanged, the only significant difference is that he now enjoys more vacations.

Simple Living of a ₹100 Crore Entrepreneur

In a world where many individuals elevate their lifestyles as their wealth grows, the unnamed founder stands out for his commitment to simplicity. Chendhil noted, “My founder friend who has ₹100 crore net worth. Travels by auto whenever in Mumbai, takes share auto/taxi wherever possible, stays at simple hotels, and has not purchased an expensive vehicle.”

This statement highlights a refreshing perspective on wealth and personal choices, as Chendhil’s friend embraces a humble lifestyle despite his significant financial accomplishments.

A Discussion on Wealth and Lifestyle

Chendhil’s post was a response to an observation made by Ravi Handa, an IIT-educated entrepreneur, about how varying levels of wealth can influence lifestyles. Handa, worth ₹10 crore, shared that his life might drastically change if his net worth were to increase to ₹50 crore, prompting an engaging discussion.

    Community Reactions

In the comments section, some users questioned why Chendhil’s friend chooses to live a life perceived as “miserable” given his wealth. Chendhil responded, clarifying that his friend is “very very happy” with his lifestyle choices.

However, others questioned the logic behind such choices, pondering why a wealthy individual would opt for a less comfortable mode of transportation when alternatives are available. “Isn’t money a tool to make your life as easy and peaceful as possible?” one user asked.

    A Personal Choice

Chendhil offered insights into his friend’s mindset, suggesting that his lifestyle is a personal choice aimed at keeping things simple. He did not elaborate on what this friend does for a living, leaving room for speculation about the personal values that drive such decisions.

One user emphasized that there is no nobility in living like a middle-class individual when one possesses substantial wealth, while another advocated for balancing frugality in business with indulgence in personal life experiences.
